Driving Awareness: Sandy Snodgrass Spreads DEA Fentanyl ‘One Pill Can Kill’ Message with HIDTA-Granted Bronco
30th August, 2024
In a powerful step toward raising awareness about the dangers of fentanyl, the AK Fentanyl Response Project, led by Sandy Snodgrass, has received a specially wrapped Ford Bronco through a grant from the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) program. The vehicle, wrapped by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), serves as a mobile awareness campaign for the DEA’s “One Pill Can Kill” initiative.
The eye-catching wrap on the Bronco prominently displays messaging from the DEA’s national campaign and a QR code on the vehicle directs people to the DEA’s “One Pill Can Kill” website, providing crucial information about the risks associated with fentanyl and counterfeit prescription pills.
Sandy Snodgrass, who founded the AK Fentanyl Response Project after tragically losing her son Bruce to fentanyl poisoning, is dedicated to spreading awareness and educating the public on this urgent crisis. With this vehicle, she will continue her mission to engage communities across Alaska, ensuring that people—especially young adults—understand the deadly risks posed by even a single pill.
This collaboration between HIDTA, the DEA, and the AK Fentanyl Response Project highlights the importance of community-driven advocacy in the fight against the fentanyl epidemic. By bringing awareness directly to the streets, this initiative empowers individuals with knowledge that could ultimately save lives.
